EDU and UTP’s Memorandum of Understanding: International Collaboration for Academic Excellence

The two well renowned universities for high class education, Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) in Malaysia and East Delta University (EDU) in Chittagong, Bangladesh, have signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with an aim of establishing overseas network and connection for joint research, innovation, multi-cultural exchange, along with international collaboration. The signing ceremony, which took place at UTP, officially launches a strategic collaboration aimed at advancing academic excellence and global education.

The signing ceremony was hosted in presence of an entire team from East Delta University who visited Malaysia as a part of their unique and extraordinary program called IGLE. Honourable Vice Chairman of East Delta University, Mr.Sayeed Al Noman along with the Vice Chancellor Dr. Mohammed Nazim Uddin and many other faculty members of East Delta University took part in the IGLE where the most top eligible 18 students of East Delta University were selected for a 7 day tour for an international exposure!

This year, it was in Malaysia,where the students had the lifetime opportunity to visit the most prestigious organizations, like AKEPT, Monash University, Universiti Teknologi Petronas and many more allowing them to excel and explore the magnificent wonders of Malaysia and have an international experience!

Signed by Vice Chancellors of UTP and EDU, respectively, Professor Dato’ Ts. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim bin Abdul Mutalib and Dr. Mohammed Nazim Uddin, represent a shared commitment to improve learning opportunities and support faculty and student knowledge sharing.

Mr. Sayeed Al Noman expressed his excitement about the partnership and emphasized the institution’s commitment to provide its students access to cutting-edge facilities and top-notch instruction. He emphasized the value of these collaborations in enabling students to succeed internationally and explore chances at esteemed foreign universities.

The Memorandum of Understanding delineates principal goals aimed at cultivating international cooperation between UTP and EDU. It seeks to solve global issues, foster technical improvements, and enable cooperative research initiatives. In order to promote diversity and intercultural understanding, the agreement also aims to boost international cooperation, student exchange programs, and cultural exchanges.

The Memorandum of Understanding also emphasizes improving academic programs, exchanging best practices, and encouraging innovation in teaching and learning approaches. The main objective is to increase the number of chances available to students to pursue academic degrees at prestigious international universities and get high-quality education, therefore promoting global learning and excellence in higher education.

Officials and dignitaries from both institutions attended the signing event, demonstrating the importance of the collaboration among the academic community. Discussions about the future of higher education and the significance of teamwork in developing the next wave of innovators and leaders were given a forum at the event.

Similar views were expressed by Dr. Mohammed Nazim Uddin, who emphasized the value of international cooperation in expanding educational possibilities and equipping students for the problems of the future.
