East Delta University’s Pride in Math Olympiad: Tanzim Ahmed

EDU Math Olympiad Student

Tanzim Mushfiq Ahmed, a computer science and engineering student at East Delta University (EDU), has achieved a remarkable feat by securing fifth place in the 12th National Mathematics Olympiad of 2021. This competition, which has been held in Bangladesh for a long time, aims to identify the best students in mathematics who can represent the country on a global stage.

Tanzim is the only student from Chittagong to make it to the top five in this prestigious event. His teachers and classmates at EDU are thrilled about this achievement.

EDU places special emphasis on developing students’ skills in subjects such as Mathematics, Analytical Skills, English, and Research. Freshers are given individual attention through the Access Academy soon after they join the university, which helps them overcome any skill gaps they may have.

Sayeed Al Noman, the founder vice chairman of EDU, believes that students are the brand ambassadors of the university, and Tanzim’s achievement is an excellent example of this. He also stated that the university is committed to creating talent and skill excellence without limiting higher education only to degrees.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Nazim Uddin, the Associate Dean of the School of Engineering, and Maski Chowdhury Surya, a lecturer at the School of Engineering, supervised Tanzim and his team of five students who participated in the Olympiad.

During a courtesy meeting with Sayeed Al Noman on February 16, Tanzim expressed his gratitude to the university authorities and faculty members for their support. He also mentioned that EDU is providing various facilities to its students, which is helping them develop in various areas.

Sayeed Al Noman presented Tanzim with a gift to acknowledge his achievement and emphasized that being ranked in the top five in a competition like the Mathematics Olympiad comes with a special responsibility. This responsibility is to use one’s talent and skills to take the country forward and present it to the world.

Overall, Tanzim’s achievement is a source of pride for EDU and Bangladesh as a whole. It is a testament to the university’s commitment to developing talent and skill excellence among its students.
