East Delta University (EDU) in Bangladesh is making waves in the research arena, with 11 of its teachers and students making it to the Alper Dogger (ED) Scientific Index Ranking-2022. Two deans, an associate dean, three professors, two associate professors, two assistant professors, and a lecturer from EDU were included in the list of world-class researchers.
EDU Founder Vice Chairman Sayeed Al Noman also praised the achievement, stating that it has increased the university’s reputation on the international stage. EDU Vice-Chancellor Professor Muhammad Sekandar Khan congratulated the researchers during a meeting held on Thursday, April 28. He emphasized that the primary task of university teachers is to conduct research and train new researchers. EDU’s senior teachers are fulfilling this responsibility with dedication, according to the Vice-Chancellor. The EDU administration’s commitment and support to enhancing research practices are unmatched.
Other faculty members and students will be motivated to focus more on research due to this recognition, he added. EDU has taken a variety of measures to encourage research and upgrade its researchers, including offering infrastructure and facilities, publishing research papers in world-class journals, and providing opportunities to learn from renowned researchers.
This year, the Alper Dogger (ED) Scientific Index Ranking-2022 has published lists of researchers in twelve categories. In total, 2,771 Bangladeshi researchers have been included in the ranking, which is based on Google Scholar’s research, H index, Iten index, and citation score of the last five years of research, according to the organization’s website.
