East Delta University honors the legacy of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman

On August 15, 2022, East Delta University (EDU) commemorated the 47th martyrdom anniversary and National Mourning Day of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The day started with the hoisting of the national flag at half-mast and a black flag at the university premises.

Later that morning, at 11 am, members of the university community placed wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, which is installed at the EDU permanent campus. After that, a discussion meeting was held, which was presided over by Professor Shams Ud-Doha, the Treasurer of the University.

The chief guest of the meeting was the Vice-Chancellor of EDU, Professor Muhammad Sekandar Khan, and other notable attendees included Associate Dean of the School of Engineering Professor Dr. Nazim Uddin, Associate Dean of the School of Business Rakibul Kabir, Associate Dean of the School of Arts Associate Professor Muhammad Shahidul Islam, Associate Professor Dr. Istiaq Aziz, Assistant Professor Tabassum Chowdhury, Registrar Sajal Kanti Barua, and Proctor Mohammad Asaduzzaman.

The meeting was conducted under the guidance of Assistant Professor Tabassum Chowdhury. The attendees paid their respects to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and discussed his contributions as the architect of independent Bangladesh. The event was held with due dignity and respect for the Father of the Nation.

The event was conducted with utmost dignity and respect to honor the memory of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The university community paid tribute to his legacy and achievements that continue to inspire and shape the future of Bangladesh.
