East Delta University’s founder vice chairman, Sayeed Al Noman, has emphasized the importance of corporate involvement in higher education development in Bangladesh during a meeting with a delegation from Grameenphone. The two institutions have a partnership that benefits both parties, with EDU producing skilled graduates that meet Grameenphone’s manpower needs.

Sayeed Al Noman, the founder vice-chairman of East Delta University (EDU), expressed his views on the involvement of corporate institutions in the development of higher education in Bangladesh during a meeting with the delegation from Grameenphone. He highlighted that EDU and Grameenphone are working together to promote mutual development. 

EDU is producing world-class students in Chittagong, who are meeting the skilled manpower needs of Grameenphone. In addition, Grameenphone has provided full support for our initiative to provide free 15 GB data bundles to teachers and students for seamless online classes.

The Grameenphone delegation, led by Asif Naimur Rashid, was impressed by the architecture and academic activities of EDU’s permanent campus. Asif emphasized that skilled human resources are crucial for any organization, and EDU students have played a significant role in the job market in Bangladesh. He stated that Grameenphone’s world-class staff is the main source of trust in providing the best telecommunications services in the country.

EDU Vice-Chancellor Professor Muhammad Sekandar Khan suggested that leading corporate organizations like Grameenphone could be more involved in developing students’ skills. He proposed that sharing work experiences with students could contribute to their development and help us better understand the needs of such institutions.
