The 102nd birthday of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children Day 2022 was observed at East Delta University in a befitting manner with our honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Muhammad Sekandar Khan as the Keynote Speaker.
Associate Dean of the School of Engineering Associate Prof. Dr. Md. Nazim Uddin, Associate Dean of the School of Business Professor Dr. Mohammad Rokibul Kabir, Registrar Sajal Kanti Barua, Proctor Muhammad Asaduzzaman and many other integral faculties and admins were present in this enthralling event.
On the occasion of Father of the Nation’s birthday, the EDU family participated in various activities since morning. At 10 o’clock, a wreath was placed on the portrait of the Father of the Nation. After that, all the teachers, officials and employees along with the vice chancellor planted trees. At 11 o’clock, everyone met for a discussion on the life and work of the Father of the Nation.
Vice-Chancellor of East Delta University, one of the key figures to form international public opinion during the Liberation War, said that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman not only brought freedom, but also showed the way to walk independently. Bangabandhu’s birth is a golden moment in the history of Bengal. Bangabandhu is the hero of the awakening of the Bengali nation, which has been oppressed for thousands of years.
He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the meeting organized on the occasion of the birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day. The meeting was held on March 17, Thursday at 11 o’clock in the seminar room of the university.
This profound economist also said that various aspects of the character of the father of the nation are reflected in the multifaceted activities and examples left by him. In him we find at the same time an unprecedented combination of shrewd diplomatic skills, strong personality, childlike simplicity and parental tenderness.
